Faramed Clinic's Department of Radiology provides coordinated care for adults and children who require specialized treatment using radiant energy in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This field can be divided into two broad areas – diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology. A physician who specializes in radiology is called radiologist.

DIGITAL X-RAY
Our newly acquired digital radiography machine is an advanced form of x-ray inspection which produces a digital radiographic image instantly on a computer. This is still the most frequently used form of diagnostic imaging. Faramed clinics provide a wide range of routine x-ray services including chest, spine, extremity, head, and abdomen imaging.
The results of the diagnosis can be accessed on our website at the patient’s record page, you would need to have your log in details handy.

We use the digital mammograms to produce various images of the breast, these are read stored in a computer (which are available to patients from their personalized portal on our website). This data can be enhanced, magnified or manipulated for further evaluation to proffer all round care for our patients. Digital mammography offers a linear dynamic range of operation, resulting in high contrast resolution, which enhances the representation of all breast tissues and increases exposure.

ULTRASOUND SCAN MACHINE
An ultrasound scan machine is most often used to examine the heart of an adult or an unborn baby in the womb. It can also be used to examine the liver, kidneys and other organs in the tummy and pelvis, as well as other organs or tissues that can be assessed through the skin, such as muscles and joints. At Faramed Clinics the equipment automatically calculates all important measurements related to the investigations, which makes for easier diagnosis.
